Sugar free : Food Combining Hay Diet
Sugar is added to most manufactured foods to improve their attractiveness to children, and adults. It can be added to meat products as well as fruit and vegetables. The sugar levels are often disguised by displaying only part as sugar, but quoting levels for sugar, dextrose, glucose, glucose syrup, milk sugar, fruit juice, all of which are sugar, as separate items.
Sugar free diets should be based on fresh meat, fish, wholegrain cereals and green vegetables.
Most fruit and root vegetables including carrots, beetroot and swedes are relatively high in sugar, but as the sugar is enclosed within the plant cell walls it is released only slowly on digestion.
