Walking from le Bettex to Megev and back
The snow was excellent, food was fabulous, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Most of the group walked - wearing our normal walking boots, though some added plastic spikes that attached themselves round the boot (not snowshoes). Post Office issue boot chains also worked well.
Two poles per person are recommended for walking on snow.
Some of the group also skied, and the two groups usually managed to meet up for a mid morning and a lunchtime drink.
