  • Place the dried fruit in a large oven-proof glass bowl and cover with cold water.
  • Leave to absorb the water for 12 hours.
  • Place in the oven at gas mark2, 300F, 150C and bring slowly to a simmer for an hour.
  • Serve hot or cold.
