10. Dolomites: Seiser Alm, Alp di Suzi. Almost to the Duron Pass, back via Saltria 2016:06:23

Down to Ortisei  and up to the Seiser Alm, Alp di Suzi. Expensive parking at the lift, but nowhere else to park. Huge drifts of flowers but often yellow buttercups. Some of the best alpine flowers closest to the Gondola, and on the highest traverse close to the Duron Pass. We turned left just before the pass and returned via Zallinger and Saltria. All easy walking. Nothing difficult.

Decided it woud be easier to walk down to the town rather than back up to the gondola, and risk being too late. Very enjyable although on the long side! 18 miles.

View from Seiser Alm, Alp di Suzi. Top of the gondola. We walked up the ridge to the right of this viewpoint to Piz Ridl, then followed paths through the middle of this view.

...

The far point of this walk is the green ridge in the middle of this view, which is Passo Doron. We didn't go over the pass but headed to the left.
