...
...After Haddon Hill we headed down a sunken lane lined with old trees, to Bury
...We then turned right to follow the river Haddeo, following Lady Harriet Acland's Drive on the left bank of the river until we arrived at Hartford
...
...From Hartford we followed a lane beside the Pulham river, and then took a forest track that runs in parallel to the lane before rejoining it, and then following a bridleway that continues alongside the Pulham River.
...
...This path brought us out close to the activities centre for Wimbleball Lake, and we headed for the dam
...
...
...Once over the dam we turned left and followed the road up the hill, and then the signposted track to the left until it rejoined the road and turned right, before turning left up a small lane.
...We then turned right through the forestry gate to walk through Britannia's Shield plantation - lots of deer footprints here. After we arrived back at the road we turned left and then took the first style back onto Haddon Hill, and back to the car park. Some of us continued on to the trig point again to see if the views had improved.
