Hi,
Althou i reaped the benefits of the Hay diet - better digestion, more energy etc.... one downfall i found- I put on 1/2 stone!! I was eatin more protein than anything as i found i was fuller on it rather than starch. plus with 7days a wk gym (which i thought would help lose weight) i still put it on in 1mth!
Any ideas why> as back on a low calorie diet but missin the benefits of hay diet.
Any ideas on how 2 loose weight quickly on it, so i can convert back???( a vegetarian way anyway

As a guess, your protein meals may include too much fat.
You need to reduce your energy intake to balance your energy use - or increase your energy use.
It may be that your better digestion is making more use of the food that you eat - so that you need to eat less now.

Hi Kathy,
I have lost 8.5 lbs in 3 weeks by eating raw nuts (soaked for 12- 24 hours) and soy products rather than animal products for my protein, and to tell you the truth I don't miss it. I reduced my fat intake (oil included) dramatically. I don't eat any refined carbohydrates. I take a probiotic to help with digestion. I do "traditional" food combining as follows:
GOOD COMBINATIONS
acid fruits alone (and separate from sweet fruits)
green veggies + protein *or* starch
starches + green veggies and fats and oils
protein + green veggies
milk alone
fats + starch + green veggies
melons alone
BAD COMBINATIONS
Carbohydrate + Carbohydrate
Carbohydrate + Acid Fruit
Carbohydrate + Protein
Carbohydrate + Sugar
Protein + Acid Fruit
Protein + Protein
Protein + Fat
Melon + any other food
Milk + any other food
Good luck with all that,
Mia
