3. Breakfast: My standard rice and dried fruit

This is my every-day breakfast.

For each person:

  • 2oz or 50g of easycook rice
  • 2oz or 50g dried fruit ( dates, sultanas )
  • 1 apple chopped
  • 3/4 pint or 0.35 litres water

Put all ingredients in a covered pan and simmer until the rice is tender. This will take slightly longer if you use easycook brown rice. The rice and fruit should absorb nearly all the water.

I use a pressure cooker and simmer for 12 minutes under pressure.
