169.Simple White Sauce : Glutenfree
Ingredients: 1 oz / 25g cornflour ½ pint / 280ml milk salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
Mix the cornflour into a paste with a little{underline 1} cold {underline}milk.
Stir in the remaining milk without heating.
Now slowly heat the sauce to simmer, stirring continuously.
Simmer very gently for five minutes.
Variations:
Cheese sauce: stir 4 oz / 100g of grated cheese into the cooked sauce.
Onion sauce: peel, chop and fry one onion until tender.
Stir the cooked onion into the cooked sauce.
Parsley sauce: add one heaped tablespoon of chopped parsley to the cooked sauce.
Rich white sauce: stir 2 oz / 50g of butter into the cooked sauce.
