Aquilegia are now in full bloom with a good range of colour and shape

I like this white with a hint of blue aquilegia

The flag iris are also at their best. I particularly like this gold and plum red combination.

These dutch iris are more gaudy. All have come through the winter

Abutilon x suntense covered with flowers. This was in full bloom in January until the frost put a stop on that, but it was back in flower very quickly as the weather warmed up

A lupin that opens white and then turns pink, growing beneath the Abutilon

Very few pears have set frut

Some apple trees have got a good set of fruit, but other trees have set very little.

Elephant garlic loves this soil. I will let them flower.

The Dahlias have overwintered in the ground in spite of the severe frosts.

Runner beans started in pots and now in the ground , on short poles to start with so that I can drag the big cloches over them if the nights turn cold again
