This grain is quick to cook and nourishing, but it must be well washed in boiling water first, to remove all traces of a bitter flavour.
2 oz / 50g quinnoa grain
1/4 pint / 150 ml water
salt to taste
- Place the quinnoa grain in a fine sieve and rinse it through with a kettle of boiling water.
- Simmer the grain in 1/4 pint / 150 ml of water for 15 minutes and then drain.
- Serve with a little low-fat yogurt.
