Re Millet Bread Recipe: from victoria on 2010-05-26

I have celiac disease.............gluten and wheat allergy. I bought Samis millet and banana nut bread today.....had one slice.....3 hours later I was vomiting in a parking lot....the nausea and vomiting was very sudden........I became nau seous, and 30 minutes or less later very sick. I ate the bread at 230, and 3 hours later became sick. The same exact thing happend to me about a year ago,, timing the same. I have attributed this to Sami's millet bread. Even though the contents don not include wheat or gluten.........it IS NOT made in a wheat free bakery. Says on the label contains traces of wheat, nuts, etc.........This concerns me........a "trace" of wheat has never caused vomiting........hmmmmmmmm

Hi Margaret

Would it be possible to email me a recipe for making bread in a bread maker which is gluten free and yeast free, please?

I have just been given a breadmaker as a gift!

Many thanks

Doris

Yeast Free Bread Recipes: from ariadna on 2010-06-10

hi, I'm looking for help. I have yeast intolerance and I've recently bought a bread machine to do my own yeast free bread. I've tried the few recipes I've found, but all have had unsuccessful results. Does anyone here have some they can share?? I would really really appreciate it.

thanks

ariadna

Re: gf bread using breadmaker: from Mu on 2010-06-22

I have been using Freebake's gf bread mix successfully in my breadmaker for some time, but it is now discontinued. Can anyone suggest an alternative mix which gives good results - I do not wish to start using complicated recipes - just a good all-in-one mix which produces a palatable loaf in the breadmaker

Re: Millet Bread Recipe: from Jeff on 2010-11-09

the machine is called a proofing oven. It is used in most commercial bread making. The same thing can me done in the home oven with a bowl of hot water and a damp warm towel over the bread pan. heat the oven to about 100 degrees. any more will kill the yeast

Re gf bread using breadmaker: from Gina on 2010-11-22

My husband has just been diagnosed with coeliac and as you all know wheat free product aren't cheap and the bread in particular is horrible to say the least.

My husband works abroad which makes the situation harder. However while he is away i thought try my best to find the perfect recipes for some great homemade baking.

I am also planning on changing my diet to help support him and cut any temptation. My question is simple. Are there any bread recipes out there which are light and fluffy, similar to normal wheat bread, if so can i have them please.

I made a loaf in my Morphy Richards bread maker using Dove Farms "White flour bread blend" I used the recipe on the packet. I must admit i struggled more with the texture of the bread , than the taste itself.

Biscuit recipes would be greatly appreciated too
