Sorbitol: from Peter on 2011-08-01
Sorbitol can cause intestinal discomfort in children and sometimes in adults.
In children it can be from drinking too much fruit juice.
Sorbitol is an indigestible sugar.
Sorbitol is found in a lot of manufactured foods, and in some fruit juice and some fruit.
Prune juice and prunes have the highest amount, with less in pears, sweet cherry, peach and apple.
Strawberry, raspeberry, pineapple and citrus fruit such as oranges are free of sorbitol
