I just wondered if prescribed drugs can alter the effectiveness of the Hay Diet? I am on a number.

From my research (I'm in the same boat), I've found that we are to let doctors know whether we follow this plan. It seems this cleanses the body, even fat cells if you can believe it, and doctors will need to monitor your blood levels. I took this information to my Internalist doctor. He said, and I quote, "this is wise!" Could've knocked me over with a feather.

In the event that you are trying to loose weight, you may want to check with your doctor or pharmacist (they can give you a computer read-out) to see if weight gain is a side-effect of your medicine and if so if there is an alternative
