8.5 mile walk from Dittisham with the Newton Abbot Ramblers. A misty start over the higher ground but it soon brightened up with spells of sunshine.

Hermitage Castle, grade 2 listed building, Folly tower, possibly a rebuild of an earlier building of uncertain purpose. 1790 or 1890, according to fragmentary inscription, but lowest level probably earlier.
