Use in small quantities only - don't smother food with sauces.

1/4 pint / 150ml low-fat yogurt

1 small chopped onion

1 large garlic clove, peeled and chopped

salt and pepper to taste

chives to garnish

  • Mix the ingredients together.
  • Serve with crudites.
  • Add 2 oz / 50 g of any blue cheese and the juice of one lemon.
  • Add 4 oz / 100 g of finely chopped celery.
  • Add a selection of fresh herbs to the dip.
  • Use the same quantity of low-fat cottage cheese in place of the yogurt.
