Walking on the volcanic island of Lanzarote

Lanzarote is an excellent walking destination, especially if you are interested in its volcanic landscape. A hire car is very useful to get to the start of each walk early in the day. There are a lot of wild flowers in the early spring. 

You must keep to recognised paths. The volcanic landscape has many deep holes in the old larva flows and the rock edges are sharp.
