Hamilton Gardens occupy a riverside setting on the south of Hamilton Town.
They are quite extensive, and together with riverside walks make a good half day walking
This is a good base to go and see the Waitomo glowworm caves. The glowworms are beautiful seen from a silent boat in the darkness. There is a path opposite the entrance that leads up to this viewpoint. ( No photos are allowed inside the caves )
